This is a cheerful, intelligent, and obedient dog that is very affectionate, calm, yet vigilant.
The shoulder-height is 25 â 30cm (51/2 -11 ½) and the weight is 2.5 â 4kg (5 ½ - 8 ½lb).
The Bolognese gets on well with other dogs, pets and children. They prize your company highly and it can therefore by very difficult to leave them on their own. They are cautious towards strangers.
The coat, which is always white, consists of a mass of long, erect locks. There is no undercoat.
Because the hair tangles easily, the coat should be combed out every day, especially on the belly, behind the ears, and between the legs. They need to be bathed regularly to keep the coat white. One advantage of the coat is that it does not shed its hair- dead hairs should be removed by brushing. Check the ear to ensure they are clean and free of and loose hairs. When necessary, clip excess hair between the pads of pads feet.
Training this breed usually passed off without any difficulty. These dogs like to do things for their handler and they find it easy to learn.
