American-Canadian White Shepherd
Good with Kids:
The American-Canadian white shepherd is a dog that is not very popular in most parts of the world except in North America and Europe. They are very affectionate dogs that are ideal for family companionship. They are easy to train and bond closely to their family.
Country of origin:
Medium sized dog breed
These are friendly, intelligent, attentive and loyal dogs that are eager to work. They like to be close to their handler.
60-65cm for dogs and 55-60cm for bitches
These dogs generally get on well with children and other dogs. If they have chance to get to know them when they are young, they can also get on well with the household cats and other pets.
This breed has stiff-haired, long stiff-haired, or long-haired coats. The long-haired types do not have undercoat. The colour is always white.
Brush and comb these dogs every day during the moult. Check the ears regularly and keep the claws trimmed short.
These dogs are not difficult to train because they like to work for their handler and they learn quite quickly. It is very important that the young dog has lots of positive encounters with all manners of animals, people, things, and situations, to help it grow up as a well-balanced animal.
