The Galgo Espsnol is an ideal sighthound for small game and also an ideal family pet. It is a very intelligent, curious and affectionate dog that love children. They love lots of exercises and will make it obvious for you.

Temperament:

These dogs will barely cause problems with children because they are so close to nature and instinctively know that small persons need to be taken care of. They like to play with other dogs and like showing off their speed. They will chase anything which suddenly moves and cannot resist the urge to. So if you have cats or other animals, this dog is not an ideal choice.

Coat:

This breed has both the short-haired and rough-haired version. The majority of these dogs are black, sandy, white, red, brown, yellow or roan.

Care:

Little grooming is required. In common with other dogs, the ears should be checked regularly and the claws kept short.

Training:

With a very consistent approach and much patience and insight, these relatively untamed dogs can be basically trained. Direct its natural character in the desired direction but do not try to create a perfectly responsible machine because this is the wrong dog for that. It is extremely important that the young dog becomes acquainted with other people and different situations.
