The hair is smooth, silken, and medium length. It should never be curly. The most usual colors are russet brown, liver, black, black and tan, white with black, red, or liver patches (with or without tan markings), blue roan, orange roan and liver roan (with or without tan markings).
Care:
The Coat of Cocker Spaniels should tangles easily, so it is necessary to brush and comb them thoroughly regularly. Do not overlook the hair between the front and back legs and the hair on the ears. These should be cleaned regularly and excess hair removed.
