Overview:

The Entlebucher is a herding dog that is lively and brave. It is a good watchdog and is keen to learn. It requires lots of exercise.

This is a lively, temperament. Equable and brave dog which will not easily be led astray by bribes and makes a good watchdog it is also high spirited intelligent, and keen to learn

Temperament:

The family comes as priority number one with this breed in common with l the Swiss Sennenhunds.The Entlebucher Mountain Dogs will warn you when there is trouble.  They tend to be rather uncertain with stranger and will certainly announce their presence. Mostly they are are good with children and really cause problems with household animals and livestock.

 

Coat:

The coat is straight haired with a thick woolly under layer. The colour predominantly black with white and trust colored markings

 

Care:

During moulting use a special comb with a double row of metal teeth to groom the under layer of the coat. At other times little attention is required.              

 

Training:
The Entlebucher Mountain Dog responds best to an equable, caring handler who has a firm hand but is consistent at all times sure that this dogs which learn very quickly, has plenty of positive experience of other animals, people, and situations during its social training this breed is not suitable for banishing to a kennel woven though the dogs likes to be out of doors but only when it can be with its handler
