Overview:

The Pyrenean Mountain dog is an attentive and vigilant dog which requires and extensive amount of exercise. They are touch dogs which will protect you and fight off strangers.

Temperament:

The Pyrenean Mountain Dog can act aggressively towards dogs that might be a match for him but usually displays no aggression towards smaller dogs, Normally they mix well with children, but stranger are mistrusted, and it will protect you, your family and your home against unwanted visitors. There are not any problem with regard to cats and other household animals

 

Coat:

The coat is abundant and tightly packed with fairly that is even longer around the neck and tail, Pyrenean mountain dogs are plain white with markings on the head, ears, and root of the tail. These markings can be grey, badger-coloured, pale yellow, or wolf-grey, some markings on the body are permissible

 

Care:

This breed required fairly thorough grooming to keep the coat in good condition. It si certainly necessary to brush or comb the dog thoroughly once or twice a day in order to remove loose hairs. This is even more important during moulting.

 

Training:

It is essential to make this breed aware of everything it must and must not do when still very young because when fully grown they are far too strong and would be too independent if not properly trained. Pyrenean Mountain Dogs required an equable handler who can be consistent and loving
